Peaceful Valley Community Center (Re-named Lower Falls Community Center) was awarded a major State of WA grant to fund the relocation and remodel of All Saints Lutheran Church for the purpose of housing the after-school child care program operated at the existing Community Center. Our firm returned to our over-arching objective of designing dignified, beautiful facilities for the underserved in our community. Excavation of a major courtyard at the existing grass yard in front of the church provides the after-school program a dynamic new entry and its own identity. The church’s currently under-utilized basement has been remodeled to become a spacious, light-filled, safe and fun environment for children.
