This LEED Silver Certified project was the creation of a new headquarters building that brought together, under one roof, the multiple human services programs operated by Catholic Charities Spokane. The building began as an early 1970’s-era medical building that was donated by Sacred Heart Medical Center to Catholic Charities to be massively remodeled for a new Catholic Charities headquarters. A largely unnoticeable, insignificant building when we began was ultimately awarded the Mayor’s Urban Design Excellence Award for the City of Spokane in 2009.

The facility features a drought-tolerant roof-top garden, sky-lit “cubical” space, an open high-bay space for gatherings and a café for servicing building tenants and visitors. More than sixty office spaces are provided.
